Mechanical Engineering is the broadest branch of engineering because of its broad applications across various industries and technological developments. Mechanical Engineering have tremendous scope in different engineering industries like Manufacturing industries, Automobile Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industries, Steel industries, Cement industry, Power Sectors, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Drilling and Mining industries, Aeronautical, Petroleum Industries and Bio Engineering etc.
I hearty welcome you to our Mechanical Engineering Department. Our department came into existence since inception of this college. The department is offering three year diploma course in Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 30 students as per approval received from AICTE New Delhi. During the study theoretical and practical knowledge is imparted to the students through effective teaching learning schedules as per curriculum of PSBTE &IT Chandigarh. Students are exposed to real industry situations through industrial visits and various training programs.
Department has highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty, always ready to impart latest knowledge to the students through seminars, workshops and expert lectures. Our department is fully equipped with all laboratories and workshops. Teaching pedagogy focuses on application-based teaching with demos, models, and videos etc. Department also organise various programs of personality development, improving communication skill, presentation skills for inculcating Leadership qualities among the students.
The Department has signed MOU’s with the well established industries for in-plant industrial trainings and placement of students. The Department has an excellent placement record, the most of our passed out students are well placed in prestigious industries.
