1. To familiarize students with basic and advanced measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and surface roughness testers.
2. To understand the working principles of transducers and sensors used in instrumentation.
3. To learn techniques for calibration and standardization of instruments.
4. To study and analyze different types of measurement errors and their impact on accuracy.
5. To enable interpretation and presentation of experimental data effectively.
